RURACTIVE Science Policy Masterclasses

The project will host a series of three Masterclasses in 2026 and 2027, specially designed for stakeholders from policy, science and practice in rural development. These interactive events will foster dynamic knowledge exchange on rural innovation, connecting local challenges with solutions at the European level.

Each Masterclass focuses on key Rural Development Drivers relevant to its host region, showcasing how innovative solutions can respond to local needs while advancing Europe’s broader goals for sustainable and inclusive development. Participants gain valuable insights into the challenges addressed by different types of innovation, the enabling factors and barriers encountered and the impacts achieved through implementation. At the same time, they are actively encouraged to contribute their own perspectives, experiences and local innovations.

The Masterclasses take place in three European locations:

The events are planned and coordinated by project partner Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) and delivered by the three Dynamo partners: the James Hutton Institute, BFH, and EcoMuseum Zagori. The successful implementation of the Masterclasses has also been made possible thanks to the valuable support of numerous RURACTIVE partners.
